    Isabella has a broad practice covering personal and business immigration matters. 

    Personal Immigration

    Within personal immigration, Isabella has significant experience in family immigration matters under Appendix FM for spouse, fiancé(e), and adult dependent relative visas, as well as human rights and asylum applications, student visas and applications under Appendix EU. She has a keen interest in citizenship and nationality law, including applications made to register children for British citizenship, entitlements to citizenship and routes to citizenship for adults. 

    Isabella assists with applications for entry clearance to the UK, leave to remain and subsequent indefinite leave to remain and naturalisation applications on many immigration routes. She has experience with both applications and appeals following a refusal decision.

    Business Immigration

    Isabella assists businesses and other organisations with applying for and maintaining sponsor licences to sponsor individuals to work in the UK at every stage. She has experience advising on compliance, including revocation and suspension.

    She also assists with individual Skilled Worker applications, applications under the Innovator Founder route, the Global Talent route, the Global Business Mobility routes and other work-related immigration applications.

    Immigration Appeals

    Isabella represents clients before the Immigration Tribunals in appeal matters. She has experience challenging refusals across several immigration routes, through the appeals process, administrative review and judicial review. Isabella represents clients directly during the appeal process and also accepts instructions from solicitors.

  • Experience:

    Before joining Richmond Chambers, Isabella worked at a legal aid law firm. She has experience in public law matters with human rights elements, including out of hours applications for judicial review. She also has experience in community care law cases under the Care Act 2014 and housing law matters involving homelessness.

    Isabella has long volunteered in an immigration law context, which she continues to do to date on a pro bono basis for Bail for Immigration Detainees. She has also volunteered teaching English to overseas workers who have arrived in the UK.

    Isabella also has experience in legal transcription and academic research, having studied at an academic laboratory involving scientific research in rural Mozambique.
