An EU Settlement Scheme Family Permit is a form of entry clearance which allows an eligible family member to travel to the UK to join or accompany a qualifying sponsor.
The EU Settlement Scheme enables eligible EU, other EEA and Swiss citizens, and their family members, to obtain UK immigration status under Appendix EU to the Immigration Rules. Those who qualify but have not yet acquired settled status will normally be granted pre-settled status, which is five years’ limited leave to enter or remain.
EU Settlement Scheme settled status allows eligible EU, other EEA and Swiss citizens, and their eligible family members, to live in the UK permanently. The EU Settlement Scheme was introduced following the UK’s departure from the European Union.
The EU Settlement Scheme provides a route to immigration status for certain people who were resident in the UK by the end of the Brexit transition period. In some cases, a person may qualify under the Scheme because they have, or previously had, a derivative or Zambrano right to reside.
A UK Frontier Worker Permit allows eligible EU, EEA and Swiss nationals who live outside the UK but worked in the UK before the end of the Brexit transition period to continue entering the UK for work.
