OUR COMMUNITY

OUR PEOPLE MAKING A DIFFERENCE.

OUR
COMMUNITY

Under our firm wide pro bono scheme we work with selected charities and community groups to provide free immigration advice and representation to deserving individuals where public funding is not available. We also support members of chambers who undertake voluntary work or take part in charitable events.

  • Coram Children’s Legal Centre

Our pro bono team have advised on asylum claims for minors in the UK, instructed by Coram Children’s Legal Centre and the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum.

  • Cancer Research UK and Embrace Child Victims of Crime

Each year, we select one or more charities to collect for and donate to. We currently support Cancer Research UK and Embrace Child Victims of Crime.

  • Re-build - rebuilding, hand in hand

Evin Zengin ran the Hackney Half Marathon on 20 May 2018 to raise funds for Re-BuildZarina Rahman cycled from London to Brighton on 16 September 2018 to raise funds for Re-Build.

Re-build is a UK registered charity that aims to help victims of conflict and natural disasters, in order to help them overcome the poverty and hardship they face.  Re-build assists in the reconstruction of infrastructure, building healthcare facilities, building schools for children to return to education as soon as possible and finding solutions to housing needs.

The funds raised by Evin and Zarina will be donated towards purchasing medical aid for civilians in Afrin, Syria.

  • London Legal Walk 2018

We took part in the 2018 London Legal sponsored walk on 21 May 2018.

We walked 10K with the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust which funds Law Centres and pro bono agencies in and around London.

We know that these agencies do a fantastic job in preventing homelessness, resolving debt problems, gaining care for the elderly and disabled and fighting exploitation. Thanks to our supporters we raised £1,000 to help them continue their work.
