  • Practice:

    Bernard assists our immigration barristers with preparing applications for Chambers’ points-based system and business migration clients, with experience in preparing Sole Representative of an Overseas Business, Tier 2 Sponsor License and Tier 1 (Exceptional Promise) applications. He also has experience with spouse visa applications under Appendix FM, settlement and naturalisation applications.

  • Experience:

    Before joining Richmond Chambers, Bernard has worked in asylum law at Barnet Law Service, undertaken legal research about the use of red notices and pretrial detention at Fair Trials International, worked in the employment team and as a trade union representative of a trade union, and worked as a duty advisor in possession proceedings at County Courts. Prior to embarking on a legal career he worked as a primary school teacher, tutor and translator. 

  • Languages:

    Bernard speaks Russian at CEFR B2 and Spanish at CEFR B1.
