Whilst studying Law, Sophie was a Pro Bono Coordinator for the Cambridge University Law Society, where she worked with Amicus ALJ, a charity committed to fighting for those on death row in the US. She oversaw the Cambridge branch of The Missouri Project between 2021 and 2022, a multi-stage research project into the disproportionate application of the death penalty on the most vulnerable in society, having initially worked as a caseworker in the year prior. She was also involved with the International Law Book Facility, providing legal textbooks to institutions around the world involved in access to justice.
