    BA (Hons) in Law, University of Cambridge

  • Practice:

    Sophie has worked on a wide range of personal immigration matters since joining Chambers. In particular she has assisted our immigration barristers on applications as a partner under Appendix FM, ILR long residence, and registration of children, and appeals for Adult Dependent Relative and Private Life cases, as well as deprivation of citizenship.

  • Experience:

    Whilst studying Law, Sophie was a Pro Bono Coordinator for the Cambridge University Law Society, where she worked with Amicus ALJ, a charity committed to fighting for those on death row in the US. She oversaw the Cambridge branch of The Missouri Project between 2021 and 2022, a multi-stage research project into the disproportionate application of the death penalty on the most vulnerable in society, having initially worked as a caseworker in the year prior. She was also involved with the International Law Book Facility, providing legal textbooks to institutions around the world involved in access to justice.
