Alexandra has over 20 years experience in UK immigration law specialising in personal migration and is the head of Richmond Chambers’ personal immigration team.
Possessing an excellent track record as a specialist immigration barrister, with clients based both in the UK and overseas, Alexandra’s practice covers all aspects of personal immigration law, including visa applications for family members (including partners, children and adult dependant relatives), visitors, students and those applying to settle. She assists EEA nationals and their family members with applications under the EU Settlement Scheme. Alexandra has prepared many human rights claims based on private and family life. Alexandra is regularly instructed to prepare both applications to naturalise and register as a British citizen. She also provides in-depth advice on complex settlement, human rights, nationality and asylum issues.
Experienced in challenging decisions of the Home Office, Alexandra regularly represents clients before the Immigration and Asylum Chamber (First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal). Alexandra also has extensive experience of challenging decisions by way of Judicial Review. Her broad knowledge of immigration law and policy, combined with her 20 years experience as an advocate, means that she is able to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients.
Alexandra accepts instructions on a direct access basis from individuals and businesses, as well as from solicitors and OISC regulated representatives.
Within Chambers, Alexandra is a Pupil Supervisor and assists with training and supervision of junior members.
