INDEPENDENT WORK AND MOBILITY VISAS

If you are a Commonwealth citizen and have a grandparent who was born in the United Kingdom, the UK Ancestry visa may offer a viable route for you to live and work in the UK.

The Youth Mobility Scheme visa allows eligible young people from participating countries and territories, as well as certain categories of British national, to live and work in the UK for a temporary period.

The Graduate Visa is a post-study work route that enables international students who have successfully completed an eligible UK degree to remain in the UK for a period of two years for most non-doctoral applicants who apply on or before 31 December 2026, reducing to 18 months for most non-doctoral applicants who apply on or after 1 January 2027 – with three years for PhD or other doctoral graduates – in order to work or seek employment at any skill level. 

The High Potential Individual Visa is available to recent graduates of top global universities who wish to work, or look for work, in the UK. The route is unsponsored and is capped at a maximum of 8,000 applications per year, with the allocation year running from 1 November to 31 October.

The UK Overseas Domestic Worker visa is an immigration route for domestic workers who wish to work in the UK with their current employer for a period of up to 6 months. The Overseas Domestic Worker visa is available to nannies, cooks, cleaners, chauffeurs and those providing personal care for an employer and their family.
