  • Practice:

    Since joining Richmond Chambers, Olivia has been assisting our immigration barristers to prepare applications for entry clearance and further leave to remain in the  Tier 1 (Investor) visa, Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) visa, Tier 2 (General) work visa and Sole Representative of Overseas Business visa categories. She also provides casework support with applications for indefinite leave to remain and with the preparation of immigration appeals.  

    Olivia previously worked at European human rights NGO the AIRE Centre. She conducted research into international and European asylum law and its application in the Western Balkans, in conjunction with lawyers from the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights and the United Nations International Organization for Migration.

  • International Experience:

    While studying Public International Law in the Netherlands, Olivia worked with the Migration Law Clinic of the Amsterdam Centre for Migration and Refugee Law. She assisted human rights and immigration lawyers by conducting legal research, and drafted a third-party intervention in an asylum-related case before the European Court of Human Rights. 

    In the Netherlands, Olivia was involved with Amnesty International’s  student network, and chaired a panel event in partnership with Sea Watch and Jugend Rettet on the criminalisation of NGO rescue missions in the Mediterranean.

    Previously, Olivia worked as a legal assistant at the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) in Brussels, where she provided assistance to lawyers across 23 European countries. She also conducted legal research for ECRE on the withdrawal of reception conditions for asylum seekers in Europe under the EU Reception Conditions Directive.
